The Broadcast Awards nominations have been announced and Studio Lambert has been nominated in the Best Independent Production Company category.
And Studio Lambert’s new dating show, Naked Attraction has been nominated in the Best Original Programme category.

Channel 4 order second and bigger series of Naked Attraction
Studio Lambert’s naked dating format will return with a double order after being extended to a 10 x 60 mins second series.
The first series launched in a 10pm slot in July with an audience of 2m (11.6%), comfortably outperforming the channel’s 1.3m (6.3%) 10pm slot average. It went on to deliver a series average of 1.7m (10.7%) and a very strong VOD viewership.

Studio Lambert is launching entertainment label Glitterbox with former TwoFour exec Cat Lawson as Creative Director.
Billed as a shiny floor entertainment division, Glitterbox will have its own development staff, but will also work with the existing Studio Lambert development team.

New BBC Two commission Common Sense announced
BBC Two channel editor Patrick Holland announced our new topical comedy series at the Edinburgh Television Festival. Due for launch in early 2017, Common Sense is an unscripted comedy featuring members of the public from all over the country, in pairs or threesomes, voicing their opinions about the week’s news in conversation with each other while at work or playing golf or doing an exercise class.

Undercover Boss has been nominated for this year’s Primetime Emmys for Outstanding Structured Reality Series.
The show has been nominated every year since its launch in 2010 and has won the award twice, so far.

Anna Richardson presents a new dating show which sees a single man and a single woman choose a date, each from a selection of six people, but instead of seeing them clothed for the first time, they stand naked before them in the studio.

A new BBC One drama based on the true story of the victims of the Rochdale sexual abuse scandal has been announced. It will star Maxine Peake and Lesley Sharpe.
Written by Nicole Taylor, it is executive produced by Sue Hogg, head of Studio Lambert drama, and is a BBC Studios production in association with Studio Lambert.

Gogglebox nominated for another BAFTA
The BAFTA TV nominations have been announced and Gogglebox has once again been nominated for the best ‘reality and structured factual’ show.
The other nominees are First Dates, I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here, and The Secret Life of Five Year Olds.
The winner will be announced on 8 May 2016. Gogglebox won the award in 2014.

Stephen Lambert awarded Fellowship of Royal Television Society
The Royal Television Society has announced a number of new Fellows of the RTS. Fellowships are awarded to those who have made an outstanding contribution to the television industry.
The new fellows are Stephen Lambert, BBC Controller Charlotte Moore, writers Sally Wainwright and Kay Mellor, John McVay CEO of PACT, nature documentary producer Alistair Fothergill, Stuart Murphy formerly of Sky and director John Watts.
