Spike has announced that it has picked up a new original series, Diamond Divers, for a 10-
The show will chronicle the efforts of “an intrepid nautical crew from Washington state that travels to the infamous Skeleton Coast off the dangerous coast of South Africa, renowned for shipwrecks, to mine for diamonds.”

Channel 4 orders more Boss and Bed
Channel 4 has ordered a fourth series of Undercover Boss and a further 60 episodes of the daytime format Four in a Bed for 2012. This brings the total number of Four in a Bed episodes ordered since 2010 up to 140.
“We’re delighted that both these formats are working so well for Channel 4,” said Stephen Lambert. “Undercover Boss has become a hugely successful format worldwide, and Four in a Bed is now being produced in several territories.”

Emmy nomination for Boss second year running
Undercover Boss has been nominated again for a Primetime Emmy in the category of Best Reality Program. The other nominees are Hoarders, Antiques Roadshow, Deadliest Catch, Mythbusters, and Kathy Griffin: Life on the D List. The winner will be announced on the 10 August.

Critics’ awards nominate Boss
The Broadcast TV Journalists Association, the recently launched offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, has announced nominations for its inaugural Critics’ Choice Television Awards. Undercover Boss is nominated in the Best Reality Show category. The awards are hosted by Cat Deeley and will take place at a luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on June 20, 2011.

Mad Men network AMC orders The Pitch
AMC, the cable network that has found critical and popular success with drama such as Mad Men and The Walking Dead, has ordered one of its first two unscripted series from Studio Lambert. Each episode of The Pitch will follow ad agencies as they pitch accounts and create new campaigns. It is scheduled to premiere next year.
