Four months a year, the State of Louisiana pays trappers and hunters $6 for each 7-inch Nutria rat-tail that they can turn in. These teams of hunters compete with each other to see who is the ‘Rat Bastard King’, as they take out up to 1,500 tails in a day. This is all about saving their home and getting rich.
This documentary series follows the ‘Cajun Commandoes’ as they scour the swamps for these elusive pests.
