In Love Thy Neighbour, one idyllic rural village plays host to 12 families craving a rural life. Each are competing for the chance to win a £300,000 cottage in an English country village. Whilst the families get the chance to experience the lifestyle of their dreams it is up to the community to decide who wins.

This is more than just a bid to win a mortgage-free life in the country: it’s a bid for acceptance. Over the course of eight weeks we follow the newcomers as they attempt to ingratiate themselves to this close-knit community. The series captures the dilemma of the residents of the village as they wrestle with their values and judgements and ultimately decide who they want to stay… and who they want to go.
